Interstate Recognition: Texas law explicitly recognizes notarial acts performed by out-of-state notaries public under Tex. Civ. Prac. & Rem. Code § 121.001(b). This statute mandates that an acknowledgment or proof of a written instrument may be taken outside of Texas, but within the United States, by a notary public. Such acts have the same effect as if performed by a Texas official.

Real Estate "Papering Out": For documents that must be filed in a Texas County Clerk's office that does not yet accept electronic filings, I can provide a certified tangible copy of the electronic record as authorized by Tex. Gov't Code § 406.119.
Criminal Penalty Notice: Under Texas SB 693 (effective 2026), it is a State Jail Felony to perform a notarization involving the transfer of real property if the signer does not personally appear before the notary. Our RON platform ensures strict compliance with the legal definition of "personal appearance" via interactive two-way audio-video technology.
Acceptance: Always confirm with your receiving agency (Lender, Title Company, or County Clerk) that they accept out-of-state electronic notarizations for your specific transaction.
