What You Need for a Successful Remote Online Notarization
🏛️ Professional Legal Disclaimer & Compliance Standards
🛡️ Missouri Commission & National Jurisdiction: I am a professional Notary Public commissioned and bonded in the State of Missouri. I perform Remote Online Notarization (RON) in strict accordance with RSMo § 486.1115.
Interstate Recognition: Arkansas law explicitly recognizes notarial acts performed by out-of-state notaries public under Ark. Code § 16-47-103 and Ark. Code § 16-47-210. Under these statutes, acknowledgments taken in other states in accordance with the laws of those states are valid and enforceable in Arkansas.
Technology & Security: Our sessions are conducted via a secure platform that utilizes multi-factor authentication (KBA), government-issued credential analysis, and encrypted audio-video recording. These standards align with the security requirements of the Arkansas Electronic Notary Public Act, ensuring that your documents—from Pulaski County property deeds to intermodal logistics contracts—are handled with the highest level of digital integrity.

🏠 2026 Property Tax Relief: The $600 Homestead Credit
Arkansas homeowners are eligible for a significantly increased tax credit in 2026. To secure this benefit and protect your property’s valuation, you must adhere to the state’s strict filing windows:
$600 Homestead Tax Credit: For the 2026 tax year, the legislature has authorized an increase to $600 off your primary residence's property tax bill. The deadline to apply with your County Assessor is October 15, 2026.
The "Freeze" (Amendment 79): If you are 65+ or disabled, you can "freeze" the assessed value of your home. We notarize the Homestead Credit Application and the required Trust Certifications if your property is held in a revocable or irrevocable trust.
Assessment Deadline (May 31): All personal property (cars, boats, etc.) must be assessed by May 31, 2026, to avoid a 10% penalty. If you are correcting an assessment, we notarize the Affidavits of Error required by the Assessor's office.
Life Estates: If you have deeded your home to a family member but retained a Life Estate, you still qualify for the credit. We provide secure RON for the occupancy affirmations needed to verify your status.
🚗 DFA Motor Vehicle: Inheritance & Tax Credits
While Arkansas has moved toward digital registration, many specialized transactions at the DFA Revenue Office still require a notary’s seal:
Affidavit of Inheritance: If a vehicle owner passes away without a will, heirs must use this notarized affidavit to transfer the title. We provide multi-party RON sessions so heirs in different cities can sign simultaneously.
Tax Credit Bill of Sale: Sold a vehicle and want to apply that tax toward a new purchase? The DFA requires a notarized Bill of Sale to verify the sales price and date for tax credit eligibility.
Release of Lien: If a lienholder is no longer in business or a paper title is lost, we notarize the Affidavits of Release required to clear the title for a new owner.
Minor Consent (MVT 5-23): We provide secure video notarization for parents giving consent for minors to own or operate vehicles in the state.
🏫 Education: U of A, ASU & UA Little Rock Residency
Arkansas is unique: most state universities only require 6 months of physical presence to qualify for in-state tuition—half the time required by neighboring states:
Petition for In-State Status: To be reclassified, you must prove a bona fide domicile for 6 consecutive months. We notarize the Residency Petition and the required Employer Verifications.
Good Faith Acts: Reclassification requires proof of at least two "Good Faith Acts" (like an AR driver's license or voter registration). We notarize the Lease Affidavits often needed to bridge the gap in your residency history.
K-12 Shared Residency: For districts like Little Rock (LRSD), Bentonville, or Fayetteville, families in shared housing must provide a notarized Residency Affidavit to finalize 2026–2027 enrollment.
⚖️ Statutory Authority: Your Out-of-State RON Advantage
Arkansas law (Act 1047 of 2021) authorizes RON, but the state also fully recognizes notarizations performed by out-of-state notaries under ACA § 16-47-203. By using our Missouri-based RON service, Arkansas residents gain:
Full Legal Validity: Documents notarized by our Missouri commission are legally binding in Arkansas and accepted by all 75 County Recorders, the DFA, and University Registrars.
Superior Record Retention: Missouri law (RSMo § 486.1195) requires us to maintain a secure audio-video recording of your session for 10 years. This exceeds Arkansas’s 5-year requirement, providing you with a decade of protection for your property and legal filings.
Identity Verification: We utilize state-of-the-art Credential Analysis and Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA) that meets or exceeds Arkansas standards, ensuring your digital signature is as secure as a wet-ink signature in an Arkansas courthouse.
