What You Need for a Successful Remote Online Notarization
🏛️ Professional Legal Disclaimer & Compliance Standards

🛡️ Missouri Commission & National Jurisdiction: I am a professional Notary Public commissioned and bonded in the State of Missouri. I perform Remote Online Notarization (RON) in strict accordance with RSMo § 486.1115.
Interstate Recognition: Pennsylvania law explicitly recognizes notarial acts performed by out-of-state notaries public under 57 Pa. C.S. § 311. Under this statute, a notarial act performed in another state has the same effect under the law of the Commonwealth as if performed by a Pennsylvania notary, provided the notary is authorized by the laws of their commissioning state.
Technology & Security: Our sessions are hosted on a secure, encrypted platform utilizing multi-factor identity proofing (KBA), credential analysis of government-issued IDs, and high-definition audio-video recording. These security measures align with the digital integrity and 10-year recording retention standards set forth in 57 Pa. C.S. § 306.1, ensuring your Pennsylvania records are verifiable, tamper-evident, and fully compliant.
⚠️ Mandatory Disclosure: > * Non-Attorney Status: I am not an attorney licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or the State of Missouri. I am not allowed to draft legal records, give advice on legal matters, or accept fees for legal advice.
Verification Only: My notarial act certifies only the identity of the signer and the witnessing of the signature; it does not validate the truthfulness, accuracy, or legal effect of the underlying document.
Power of Attorney Witnessing: Pennsylvania law (20 Pa. C.S. § 5601) requires that a Power of Attorney be signed in the presence of two witnesses (who are not the notary). While RON is permitted, the witnesses must also appear via the audio-visual session or as otherwise required by PA law.
Remote Disclosure: In accordance with 57 Pa. C.S. § 306.1(c), my notarial certificate will explicitly state: "This notarial act involved the use of communication technology."
Acceptance: Always confirm with your receiving agency (Lender, Title Company, or County Recorder of Deeds) that they accept out-of-state electronic notarizations for your specific transaction.
